Headache & Meows
The teapot is boiling. Its that tea time of year again. I'm grumpy and I haven't had a moment for the leisure of the Internet in days. Although fall is my favorite season the first few days are a bit depressing. The sun is setting earlier and soon it will be too cold to have the windows open.
In other news, I went to the New Museum on Thursday. The Yellow Corner is upsetting in the best possible way. I like the whole After Nature exhibit even if there is something mildly disturbing about it.
My head is pounding. All I ate today was shrimp in garlic at the Seafood Festival in Pt. Pleasant.
I spent all morning cleaning Alyssa's apartment. It makes me happy to put things in order. At least for five seconds.
I got a raise at my second job. $8.10/hr. Hah. At least I make $10 at my internship. Thank you college education.
How many months before I'm totally burnt out? Three? Six?
The column I wrote for The Acorn this week was about the MoMA and the Van Gogh exhibit thats starting soon. The NYTimes Weekend Arts section's front page was the same thing. I'm in the know.
Oh and my phone got turned off yesterday. And my bank account is negative. How can this happen when I work two jobs? You would think I have a crack addiction or something...just an addiction to culture and life...Fucking musical tickets, dinning in the city, expensive 120 film, hoodless hoodies and grande mochas. Living above my means since 1987.
I'm just going to become a barista in a small coffee shop in San Diego and smoke a lot of the chief and read my poetry at open mic night.

Oh yeah
A dominatrix! I have the skills, I enjoy being mean and leather! The only issue is that I don't want to see any penises. Do they have lesbian only BDSM? This all spurs from an the smith diaries project posts I read yesterday. After I read about Mistress Y's love of both writing and rope bondage I knew that I could be a dominatrix too. Later on that night I kept getting signs that this was the right career choice for me. We were just cusually drinking at NoWhere when bondage porn came on and only a few minutes later Depeche Mode's Master and Servant began playing. Now I know it was bear night at a very gay bar but still!! Don't you think those were signs from baby jesus that I need to become Mistress J!??!
The Q
The show ended, I said goodbye to Ryan and took the 1 train down to 14th. I had to meet my girlfriend Alyssa and her friends at NoWhere but I took the longest possible route. I zigzagged all over the village taking pictures with my Diana+ while listening to angsty songs by placebo and the kaiser chiefs. Eventually I got there and Cheryln kept "forcing" me to watch porn. Really the highlight was erotic photo hunt and PBR. Thats all that I really need to survive.

"Researching"
For lunch today I want to City Gourmet which is up by 27th and 7th and I order a number 12. To preface this, I had never eaten there before and I was forcing myself to try something new because all I eat is Ciao Bella pizza and burgers from (Brgr). So I ordered a number 12 and then I pretended that I'm not nervous and uncomfortable while I wait for my sandwich. Apparently it was ready but I was too busy pretending to be cool and nonchalant to notice. So my disguise as a busy NYC business woman was ruined by the sandwich man who yelled at me, as did the cashier. I finally got my sandwich and I sat down to eat it. I slowly unwrapped the wax paper and there's tuna fish on 7-grain. I thought I was getting mozzarella and tomato with basil. And I do not eat anything with mayo in it. So I threw out the sandwich and walked down to Ciao for a plain slice. I try to be so metropolitan but I'll always be a nervous jersey mess.
On the way back to my office I watched all the couriers weaving in an out of traffic. I've decided that I should just be a bike courier in Manhattan! I can ride a bike and I'm reliable. It seems too good to be true. I just need to buy a sleek, silver, streamlined helmet and then I'm set.
